• Spread 2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise on a paper towel. Lay the towel on the water mark and press lightly. Leave the mayonnaise on the stain for about 15 minutes. As with all stains, the sooner it is treated, the better. Leave the mayonnaise on overnight for older stains. Once the stain is gone, polish the wooden furniture as normal.
• The combination of mineral oil and table salt will also help to remove water stains. Dip your finger in the mineral oil and then in table salt. Gently rub the affected area until the stain is removed. Wipe off excess residue and polish as normal.

Then there are the decorations that my mother purchased for us, or that his mother purchased, or even that friends and extended family purchased. We have a huge amount of lighted Christmas decorations, but they are always tastefully displayed. Now, my mother in law’s house looks like Santa threw up in it every time Christmas rolls around. She is a total craft nut, so she has countless Christmas decorations that are just scattered everywhere around the house. And I mean everywhere.
I don’t think there is one inch in that house that is not covered in red, green or gold during the holiday season. There are knitted tissue box covers, toilet seat covers, wall hangings, quilts; you name it and it is there. So many commercial Christmas décor that you can’t even distinguish where one ends and where another begins. But she loves them, so I suppose that is all that matters. Then there is my family. The building and construction of retaining wall may look complicated, but given the right tools and help from your neighbourhood you could actually shape and build up your own retaining wall. Among the common retaining wall materials are stone (natural and precast), bricks, concrete, hard wood, steel, or railroad ties. The material to use depends on the purpose of your retaining wall. That is to say you need bigger stone blocks or concrete masonry if you’re leveling a steep sloping yard, and you need smaller stone blocks if you’re only building a garden retaining wall.
Here’s how to build a retaining wall for a raised flower bed.
1. Outline the shape of your garden retaining wall: circular, rectangular, rectangular with curved edges or what have you.
2. Mark your outline with a spray paint or stake and ropes and measure the dimension.
3. Take the measurement to your favorite construction store and order your customized pre-cast concrete stone block with lip lock system that conforms to the shape of your retaining wall when assembled.
4. Dig about 12 inches deep trench ensuring that it’s as level as possible. Lay leveling sand or patio paver base in the trench compacting it with hand packer to ensure a level solid base. Use your ground leveling tool to check if the solid base is perfectly leveled.
5. Lay each base row blocks ensuring that it’s flat using a carpenter’s level. Repeat the process until all base row blocks are laid before checking the level again with a ground level to check if it’s aligned and perfectly flat. Perfectly leveling the base row saves you time later when you’re laying the top rows.
Tip: Knock the flange off using a chisel and a mallet for the base blocks for easy leveling.
6. Lay the top rows with the joints staggered with the lower row. You may need to cut a block in half using a masonry wet saw to make this happen. Ensure that the lip at the back of the block interlocks with the top of the lower row. Lay all the top rows to achieve the desired height of your flower bed and - voila - you just built your garden retaining wall.

As a former NCAA Division 1 Athlete, I have parents ask me quite often what their son or daughter needs to do in order to make it to the highest level of college athletics. Most laminate manufacturers will provide their own cleaning products that you can usually find at the same home center where you purchased the laminate. Sometimes the companies will actually require you to use their cleaning products or risk voiding the warranties. In most cases, however, the cleaning products from the manufacturer are overpriced and are simply a profit center for them.
At almost any hardware store you can find generic cleaning products for laminate flooring. The hardware clerk will probably be able to point you in the right direction. You can also find many name brand products, unaffiliated with the flooring manufacturer that are good as well.

One of the problems that homeowners in the past have constantly encountered was getting the paint to stick to the aluminum siding. Aluminum does not hold paint well. There are two things you can do about this.
1) Several of the major paint companies make special paints especially blended for aluminum siding. If possible, use one of these paints for better results.
2) Prepare your aluminum siding for painting by power washing it thoroughly with a high powered pressure washer. . This will remove the paint chalk from previously painted siding. If you don’t do this step, your new coats of paint will not adhere as well as it should.

Installing vinyl flooring made easy. Now you need to cut the vinyl flooring. The easiest way to do this is to take your previously recorded floor measurements and make a “draft cut” of the vinyl. This cut will be approximately 3 inches longer and 3 inches wider that your measured length and width. This gives you a fudge factor for mistakes and uneven floor lengths.
Prepare to install by laying the the vinyl floor on top of your floor in the position where you want it. Fold back the vinyl floor in half, revealing the half of the floor where you will begin to lay the vinyl. Follow the adhesive instructions and lay it on exposed half of the floor.
