Fishing Boats For Sale Offer Many Choices

Author + June 18th, 2008 + no replies

Having one of them would mean that I could make my home on the waves anywhere I wanted to go - a luxury afforded to a few people. Nonetheless, eventually my taste in fishing boats for sale calmed down and matured a little bit. I came to realize that I didn’t need anything fancy. I finally bought a small, flat bottomed aluminum boat with an outboard motor on it that would be perfect for day fishing trips in local lakes. With all of the drooling I had done over fishing boats for sale, I think I was finally able to calm down and make a considered choice…

Though my husband has a lot of hobbies, bass fishing is one of his favorites. He hasn’t had a lot of time to fish lately, and it is much easier for him to golf. However, this does not mean that he won’t continue to fish for the rest of his life. Though he likes all forms of fishing, bass fishing is by far his most favorite. He learned a lot of bass fishing techniques from my dad, and is always watching television shows…….

You can take a quick flight from Seattle or a ferry from Bellingham, Port Angeles, and Anacortes or a catamaran from Seattle. There are also flights and ferry services from Vancouver, British Columbia, in case if you want to visit Vancouver on a way. Actually, getting to Victoria is half the fun. By air, ferry or on land, it is easy and enjoyable. I chose to take a ferry on a way to Victoria and a floatplane on a way back. You can watch for marine wildlife from the decks of a ferry or observe beautiful islands and peninsulas while soaring over the coastline in a harbour floatplane - both of these traveling options were really fantastic and affordable.

Questions About Amphibious Vehicles

Author + May 8th, 2008 + no replies

I’ve only just started shopping for amphibious vehicles myself, but I am already pretty excited. I haven’t rode one since that trip with my friends, and I’m amazed to see how much they’ve changed. Nowadays, amphibious vehicles are slick, modern, and extremely rugged. They can cost quite a bit, but I think they are worth it. After all, an amphibious vehicle can serve as your boat, your car, your backpack, and your power supply. It can really help you to bring a high level of convenience into some of the most backwoods destinations on earth. It looks like it is going to be a good investment for a serious woodsman like myself.

Watch Out For All Terrain Vehicles

Author + May 8th, 2008 + no replies

When I started looking into buying an all terrain vehicle, I was a little bit dismayed at first. I had not really put enough thought into how much my new hobby could cost! Nonetheless, I decided that it would be worth it. After all, for less than a thousand dollars I would have a great chance to do some serious outdoor rough riding whenever the mood struck me. All terrain vehicles work as well in the winter as they do in the summer, so I knew I would get a lot of band for my buck. To date, I have been pretty happy with the experience.

Deep Sea fishing is a very thrilling experience and can be very rewarding for fishing enthusiasts. However, Deep sea fishing is a sport that is not for everyone. If you tend to get motion sickness easily, you may not be cut out for deep sea fishing. Deep sea fishing also requires that you are not afraid of being in a location where land is not in sight. Deep sea fishing may expose you to hours of direct sunlight. If you are prepared, deep sea fishing can be the thrill of a lifetime, so don’t be put off by the special considerations that must be taken into account.

You Mean I Have Buy Salmon Fishing Tackle Too?

Author + March 26th, 2008 + no replies

If you’re just getting started in the sport fishing you’ll be disapointed when you find out that all the new fishing gear you just bought is unsuitable for Salmon fishing. If you were to go to a Sportsman’s show you would be amazed at all of the products that the salesmen say you “just have to have” for your Salmon fishing tackle box.

The reality is that you will need a stonger rod, a bigger real and heavier line too. Also, you’re expemsive lures won’t be needed either since Salmon are usually caught with live bait.

Boats

Author + March 25th, 2008 + no replies

Many water enthusiasts love to spend time at their local lake or river but simply don’t have the funds for a boat. A boat can be quite expensive, not only to purchase, but also to maintain. Then there’s the cost and pain in the butt that is pulling said boat from here to there. With the price of gas, this can become quite an extra cost. The interesting thing about all of this is that having a boat doesn’t have to break the bank.

I Love Walleye Fishing

Author + March 8th, 2008 + no replies

Fishing is a sport that most people have tried at least once when they were little kids. In my own case, it was my grandfather that put a pole in my hands at a very early age. It seems that no matter where you live there is some type of fishing available; whether it is in a local lake, out in the ocean, or even a creek that runs through your backyard. The techniques that are used vary greatly, as well as the equipment that is needed. The equipment and techniques depend upon what kind of fish you’re going after. My kids and I do a great deal of fishing on the lake on the other side of town. I love the action of fishing for trout and bass, but you cannot beat walleye for the great tasting fillets.

An Iowa vacation attraction affected by Iowa rains

Author + February 19th, 2008 + no replies

Probably my favorite Iowa vacation attractions is Clear Lake in the northern part of the state. Known since the ‘50s as a tourist destination the people in the area have continued to add attractions and amenities as the years have passed. There is very little lakefront property that is in it’s original state. There have been several owners who have put up high class cabins in the area, all with a view of the lake. The lake is big enough to have all kinds of recreation all the way from fishing to skiing. There are several marinas around the lake where one can gas up the boat or by needed equipment. In the evenings there is an amusement park with all the lights and music needed. In recent years the lake has suffered from silt runoff from nearby fields. In the past this silt was filtered by the natural grasses growing around the lake. As these were removed for improvements to the lakefront their filtering effect was removed also. There is now a plan in the works to have a grassy area encircling the outside of all resort areas, thus accomplishing the filtering effect before the water reaches the lake.

Western Illinois Eagle Watching

Author + February 12th, 2008 + no replies

The biggest draw to western Illinois tourism has to be the Mississippi river and all the attractions connected with it. At this time of year there is a lot of time spent around the locks and dams viewing the bald headed eagles. With the river mostly frozen the water coming through the dams does not allow the ice to form. This water movement also causes the fish in the river to come to the surface. This becomes a perfect hunting ground for the eagle to find his lunch. In some of these areas there have been as many as three hundred eagles spotted at one time. The eagle population has been increasing in the past decade and the big birds have been removed from the endangered species list. The immature eagles are sometimes missed as they do not have the distinctive white head and tail. The immature eagles are more gray than black and are smaller in size. If you find one of the viewing areas that have been built just for eagle watching, that is the best place to be. Lone viewers often startle the eagles as they are trying to approach for a better look causing the birds to fly off.

Bass Fishing Secrets

Author + December 6th, 2007 + no replies

Bass Fishing Secrets Remain A Mystery

When watching fishing tournaments on television many would-be professional anglers want to know the bass fishing secrets used by those who are paid to fish. From the time a person latches onto a largemouth lunker, they are hooked, unlike the ones that they believe are passing up their offering, because they don’t know the bass fishing secrets they need to consistently land the big ones.

The reality is, there really aren’t any deep dark bass fishing secrets, it is knowing and using the four rights of fishing that separate the professionals from the weekend wannabes. The first thing bass-catcher hopefuls need to know is the habits of the fish they are trying to catch. Knowing their habitat and meal times, plus the type of food they are probably looking for at a given time of day is one of the bass fishing secrets that help pile the pounds onto the daily catch.

Trees, docks, creeks and channels all are good hiding places for bass, and fishing all angles of these areas can lure the fish out of hiding. Once the likes and dislikes of the bass are understood, there are four things that have to be right in order to become a successful bass angler. Knowing a few bass fishing secrets will help land more fish, but it will take lots of fishing practice to join the pro tour.

Four Rights Of Successful Bass Fishing

While some may consider these right as no-brainers, thinking back on the last few times the bass were left in the water at the end of the day, try to remember which of these items were ignored. The right bait, presented in the right manner, in the right location at the right time of day are essentially all the bass fishing secrets needed. Of course, flipping and working the bait will play into attracting the big fish, but no matter how well you work the bait, if the four rights of bass fishing are wrong, the fish won’t leave the water.

Many believe the spinner baits are the gold standard for bass fishing and they will work well in many locations, on the lake, in rivers and streams, but there have been some large fish pulled in with fly equipment and live bait as well. Crank baits work for many anglers, but regardless of the bait, if the water isn’t right and the bait is in the wrong area of the lake, river or stream all the bass fishing secrets in the world will not help the fish find a new home. Taking Care of Aquarium Fish | Aquarium Decoration

Author + October 8th, 2007 + no replies

Fish are a great pet to have in the house; they are easy enough to take care of that a young child can be put in charge of the tank, and they are undeniably relaxing to watch.  Taking care of aquarium fish is easy; there are just a few things to think about.

Population Density

First, do not be tempted to overcrowd the fish tank.  The water will become dirty very quickly leading to high fish mortality.  A rough guide is to provide one gallon of water for each inch of aquarium fish.  So a one-gallon tank should, at most, hold two one-inch fish or one two-inch fish.  It is always better to under fill than to overfill, so start small.

Fishing Lesson | Buying A Cruising Yacht

Author + September 13th, 2007 + no replies

Everyone out there likes the idea of a shiny new boat.  While buying a new yacht is an accomplishment in itself, you shouldn’t spend over your budget then be unable to take it anywhere.  When you buy a yacht, always look at what comes with the boat and decide if it’s everything you want.

Types of construction

GRP

Almost all cruising yachts out there today are made of GRP construction.  GRP material is long lasting, strong, and easy to repair.  Osmosis is the only real problem here, as the blisters it leaves can be sometimes costly to repair.

Vacationing Fun With A Banana Boat

Author + September 5th, 2007 + no replies

Do you boat and are you planning a vacation?  Then before you get it all worked out you might want to plan a banana boat along with it.  If you have kids they will love it.  It can turn a so-so time into a great family vacation.

A banana boat is actually a recreational boat which is designed to be pulled by a larger boat. It has no power of its own. The name banana boat comes from its design which obviously looks like bananas that are strung together to form a boat. The riders of the banana boat sit astride a large tube that is attached to two smaller tubes. The two smaller tubes that are attached on both sides of the large tube provide balance and footrest for the riders. Riding on the large tube provides kids the opportunities to ride close to the water without really endangering themselves.

Beginner Fishing Tips - What Equipment To Bring

Author + September 4th, 2007 + no replies

Everyone loves their yearly fishing trip and it’s essential to pack the best fishing tackle along in order to make it a success.  In order to choose the right gear, you’ll want to think about the body of water you will be fishing in, the weather and what the fish are biting on in that area.

Keep in mind these beginner fishing tips on fishing gear:

Reel - There are reels for fly fishing and casting depending on the type you will be doing.  You might want to bring a few different types so you will be prepared.
Lures and flies - Taking the right lures or flies can be key to your fishing enjoyment.  Why not bring all you favorites so you’ll be certain to have that proper lure when you get there.

Fishing rod - Whether you are fly fishing, deep sea fishing or pond fishing, you’ll want to bring a rod specific to that sort of fishing.

You’ll also want to bring plenty of sinkers, bobbers, fishing line and hooks so you won’t run out.  Live bait should be acquired when you get to your fishing destination.
