How Do You Get Warts On Hands, Face and Elbows?

No one really wants warts on hands, face and elbows, but do you really know how they are caused? While your mother might have told you that warts are caused by toads, this is not the case.

Warts are not just growths, they are caused by the human papillomavirus which affects the cells of your epidermis. A wart is the result of this virus which causes your cells to multiply too fast. A wart is actually several cylinders of skin fused together which gives it the mosaic appearance. You’ll often notice warts have dark dots and these are actually your blood vessels.

There different types of warts, all caused by the same virus. Plantar warts are found on the bottom of the feet and can be very painful. They appear to be flatter and smoother due to the pressure applied by walking. Warts on the face are often flatter in appearance and are called flat warts.

Sometimes warts go away on their own, but if yours are stubborn there are many methods to get rid of them. Dear over-the-counter products you can use, you can have your direct all just freeze them and you can even try the duct tape method. Try one method if that doesn’t work choose something else - eventually you’ll find something that does get rid of your warts.
