Benefits of Having a Herb Garden
Herbs gardening had been popular for many generations. As early as 2700 B.B., Chinese cookbooks had already identified herbs as edible plants that could often add exotic and wonderful flavors to their dishes. It wasn’t long before herbs became a mainstay of Chinese cooking. And then, aside from its culinary value, the Chinese found that many herbs possessed medicinal properties. And now, thousands of years later, the countries the world over value herbs both for its culinary and medicinal properties.
The ancient Egyptians, the Hindus, the Greeks and the Romans also used herbs and herbs gardening as part of their cultures. In fact, the Greek physician Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, extensively used herbs in his medical practice.
