Low Carb Diet Recipes

A low carb diet recipe is one in which there will be only very less quantity of carbohydrates. Sugar starchy vegetables and flour are examples of high carb diets. When making a low carb recipe all these food stuffs are replaced with other ingredients which will be having fewer carbohydrates. Atkins recipe is example of one such recipe which is very much effective in shedding weight and helps you lead a healthy diet. We can cook different tasty food stuffs with the help of such recipes. Such main dishes include meat, fish, poultry etc. There are also low carb recipes for bread, soups, salads, snacks, pastas etc.

It is a fact that all the dietary fat is not fully converted into body fat. But the food stuff which is high in carbohydrates is not the same. Carbohydrates are fully converted into fat by the action of insulin. This fat proves dangerous to the body and creates many disorders like high body weight, cholesterol etc. Hyperinsulinemia is one such condition and is said to be the main cause of overweight. Here there will be higher levels of insulin in the blood. In Atkins recipes sugar and white floor are not at all allowed. Along with this, many fruits are also restricted. But some types of fruits are allowed.

The amount if carbohydrates needed for a person varies from one to another. According to this calculation Atkins recipe helps to prepare low carb foods. Here, all types of meats are allowed except liver. Again whole preparing meat, fillers are not allowed. Again almost all types of fishes are also allowed including shellfish. Atkins recipe also allow eggs to be prepared in some nice ways where additives are restricted. Cheeses are allowed but there are restrictions in its quantity for daily use. Up to 4 oz are allowed for each day. Atkins recipe also allows green vegetables containing low starch in its food menu. High glycemic fruits are not allowed in the diet as they contain higher carbohydrates levels. Water melon, pineapple, bananas are example of such food items.
