Laser Acne Treatment
Laser acne treatment has been gaining popular as a way to get rid of old acne scars. It has replace traditional forms of acne treatment using acne creams and gels.
During an acne laser treatment, the doctor will hold a laser pen just above the acne or acne scar and wave the beam of light back and forth, destroying only the unwanted acne and creating a new surface for skin cell growth. The medical term is also called laser resurfacing.
In most cases of laser resurfacing, the procedure is safe and completely painless. However, some acne patients can encountered slight brusing and swelling which is normal. These usually will subside by themselves after 7 to 10 days.
