Types of Services Available
There are many types of phone and data options for long distance. One of the most common types of service for businesses is the T1 or T3. The T1 is a digital transmission link with a capacity of 1.544Mbps. It consists of 24 channels that can be used for voice or data. The T3 internet is similar but a larger more complex configuration that provides a wider bandwidth and 64 channels.
For most small to medium businesses a T1 will provide what is needed. However, larger companies or those with more applications that require larger bandwidth can opt for the T3.
