One of the most difficult homeschool programs to start is a California homeschool program. For some time now there have been rumors flying around stating that a California homeschool program is illegal, this isn’t true; however it is true that California is pretty much the hardest American state for you to conduct a homeschool program for your child/children.
The overall requirements can be pretty strict in California. Like all other American states, you must follow a recognized curriculum or an Independent Study Program (ISP) as it’s sometimes referred to. The homeschool curriculum must come from, either a local public school or a private (officially recognized) source, like for instance the highly accredited abeka homeschool program for religious based homeschooling.
