Keep Your Fish Healthy By Avoiding These Goldfish Diseases
Many people don’t realize that goldfish are rather long-lived since they typically die from disease well before they enter old age.  Which is why it’s smart to find out what disease might make your fish sick.
Ich, or Ichtyopthirius is one of the most common goldfish diseases to be on the lookout for.   If your goldfish has ich, you will see small white spots on his scales. It isn’t easy to notice and a lot of times it goes untreated until it gets very bad. Ich can eventually kill your goldfish!
Another disease your goldfish might get is called fin rot. Your fish might have this if you notice an injury to the tail or fin area. This bacterial infection can be nasty if not taken care of right away.
Another disease to watch for is something called Pop Eye. As the name implies, you will notice that your fish’s eyes are protruding more than they should. Be careful, however as some goldfish naturally have bulging eyes.
