When its headquarters on Wacker Drive were destined to become rubble, Whitehall Jewellers Inc. moved to a high-rise down the street. Whitehall Jewelers, who have approximately 360 stores in 38 states, were recently bought out by two hedge funds, Prentice Capital Management L.P. and Holtzman Opportunity Fund L.P.
